Evualtion of college magazine.

Overall i feel that my college magazine cover and contents page turned out good . If i was too improve things about them the things that i would improve would be i would of thought about the pictures that i had put on the front cover a bit more carefully . Also i may of included pictures on the contents page to make it look a bit better presentation wise . I would of made sure that the font i was using was clear enough for people to be able to read and understand in the first place so that i didn't have to change it so many times. I also would of included a bit of color on the background of my contents page to tie in with the front cover and also just to add that extra feel to make it look more professional .

Contents page.

This week I started to make my contents page of my magazine . To do this i had to think about what kind of things would actually  feature in my magazine if i was too make the whole of it . Also i had to look at my front cover of my magazine and make sure that the themes and colour's i used on my front cover reflect in the contents page . I had to think about how many page's i would have in my magazine so that i could make sure my contents page was clear and accurate . I had to think if there would be any pictures going on to my contents page because if there was i would have to start thinking about taking them pictures now .

Today in the lesson i carried on with making tag lines on my front cover of my magazine . I think started to think about the kind of pictures i am going to have on my front cover .

Time's Magazine .

We got given different magazine's in groups . We had to pick out the kind of things that would make a reader want to buy this magazine . The magazine that we had would of been inside a newspaper so the readers would have to like that newspaper to want to read the magazine . The magazine had George clooney on the front who would be someone that , that age group would like to read about and know more about . The design of the magazine cover was very simple and only had one picture on it . The reason for this could be so that the reader's do not have too many things to concentrate on . Also the title and font of the magazine was very simple this could be because people of this age group that would be reading this magazine prefer to have simple things that are easy to read and too follow .

College Magazine .

For my college magazine i had to think of a suitable name for it . That wouldn't be to boring and simple but also something that would attract people to read my magazine . I decided to go with n college mag. I thought this would be a simple , but at the same time still a good title for a college magazine . To start of i tried out different type face's and different colors that i thought would look good on my magazine. This took me a while to do as i wanted to get it right the first time and not have to re-do it . In the end i went for a type face that i thought would appeal to my target audience. I also used colors that would appeal to both boy's and girl's within my target audience .After i done that i started to think of tag lines for my magazine .

Making Magazine Cover.

Today in media i had to start again and make my page . First i changed the bleed size and the margin size. I then created my mask head and found the right type face that looked like the type face on the magazine i am trying to copy . Then i had to crop the picture i am using and make surte it fitted and looked right on the page .

This week in media , i had to find the right type face for my magazine . This was a bit hard , as the system did not have all the right type face's on there that everyone needed .
